Weight Training and Conditioning
This course is designed for student development of strength training and conditioning concepts. It involves proper lifting techniques of strength training and overall cardiovascular fitness, safety precautions and injury prevention, and other methods of weight management. The major focuses are: muscular hypertrophy, general muscle toning, flexibility training, aerobic and anaerobic training, plyometric, sprint work, nutrition and achieving total fitness. The development of a personal fitness program is also part of this course.
